8th ISEA Golf Outing

The 8th edition of the Ireland Spain Economic Association’s Golf Outing 2019 took place on Friday the 19th July, returning to the beautiful course at Druids Glen, nestled between the Wicklow Mountains and the Irish Sea.
In a beautiful course with fairways, both narrow and wide, the Association was warmly welcomed and accommodated by our hosts. A pity the same couldn’t be said of the weather when the teams arrived, but by the afternoon the rain gave way to sunshine and the scene was set for glorious afternoon of golf.
Competition was friendly but serious, as teams from the Association’s membership battled it out for the right to hold aloft the ISEA KPMG trophy.
The day concluded with a well-earned dinner and a drop of wine, rounded off with the all-important prize giving ceremony, which would not have been possible without the generosity of the sponsors –KPMG, BBVA and CNP Santander.
Congratulations go to BBVA for taking home the trophy, winning by just one stroke ahead of Axis.
ISEA is already looking forward greatly to returning to Druids Glen Golf Club in 2020, to celebrate the 9th edition of this extraordinary championship, so to repeat the excellent experience we all have had this year.
