The Sorolla exhibition for ISEA members

Sorolla: Spanish Master of Light

On October 30, the members of ISEA had the opportunity to enjoy the wonderful paintings of the Spanish painter Joaquín Sorolla, in a private exhibition presented in the National Gallery of Ireland.

Lawyers, bankers, communication and marketing professionals, consultants, advisors, etc. met in the different rooms of this museum and spent an afternoon surrounded by culture and networking.

The National Gallery of London and the National Gallery of Ireland, in collaboration with the Sorolla Museum, organised the entire exhibition with great commitment, as this was the first time that Sorolla’s paintings had been exhibited in Ireland.

Joaquín Sorolla was known as the “master of light” and this is demonstrated in more than fifty works included in this breathtaking exhibition. The sea, large landscapes, gardens and representations of Spanish life as it was at the end of the 19th century. He developed an vanguardistic style with very fluid paintings full of light and colour.

The members of ISEA were surprised by the realism transmitted by all of Sorolla’s works. Astonished by the beauty of the paintings, they said they felt as if they were looking at the landscapes through a window.

ISEA promotes the expansion of trade and investment between Ireland and Spain and, although it may seem paradoxical, art is not exempt from all of this. All our members belong to companies and organizations of great relevance both nationally and internationally and know that art is the best ambassador of a country, in this case, of the ‘marca España’.

It was a very successful event and we would like to express our big thank you to the National Gallery of Ireland for making it possible. We look forward to new events and new challenges that ISEA has prepared for the next 2020.

If you are interested in participating in the following events and would like to be part of ISEA, please contact us, we will be happy to help.
